Newborn Collections

This time in your life is so precious but oh so fleeting. The images you get from a newborn session are incredibly special; an investment you truly will treasure forever.

My newborn sessions are safe, calm, and gentle—for baby most importantly, but also for mama and the rest of the family. Newborns can take a lot of time; and that’s exactly how it should be. I encourage breaks for feeding as necessary and if you’re comfortable with it, we can even grab some special feeding photos. If we have to go over the approximated times due to cluster feeds, or a sibling struggling with this new adjustment, we take that extra time and don’t worry about it.

Typically these sessions are done in your home; I harness the natural light to bring your portraits to life, creating an authentic, real-life style of story telling imagery. Your space does not have to be perfectly staged and immaculate in order for me to create beautiful images, so you can just relax and soak in the aura of your baby and sweet, growing family.

I like to work around a window/s and I bring some of my own props (i.e., handmade hats and diaper covers, faux furs, crate/basket, etc.) that we can use if you like, or if you have your own that works too. Alternatively, some people like to do these sessions in a grandparent or friend’s home. 

Newborn sessions are best done before 10-14 days new.

315 | The Fresh 48

This session is incredibly special because there’s so much that happens and changes within the first 48 hours of birth. I quietly visit you in your hospital room or home, and gently encapsulate the beautiful natural moments and those special details surrounding that post birth experience of getting to know and bonding with your brand new baby.

  • Shooting time approximately 30 minutes
  • Minimal Posing, mostly natural moments
  • One outfit/swaddle

315 | Short & Sweet

The focus of this session is to get the sweetest images of your baby. Similar to the Fresh 48, but doesn’t have to take place as soon after birth. A couple natural poses and allllllll the little baby details possible. We might also be able to make time for a special family, sibling, or motherhood pose. 

  • Shooting time approximately 30 minutes
  • One outfit/swaddle
  • A couple simple, natural poses

450 | Newborn Basic

This is a simple session and is perfect for those who don’t want to take a lot of time but still want a handful of all the special moments. We focus on capturing not only baby, but also family. It’s not rushed, but poses are simple and quick.

  • Shooting time approximately one hour

  • A few simple, natural poses of baby, siblings, family, etc.
  • Gallery size: 45+images

575 | Newborn Classic

This session is so fun. Typically we start off by focusing on getting all the special family/sibling/parent shots, and then we move to portrait session of baby. This can involve different looks and very gentle poses, it takes time but it’s so fun, sweet, and worth it.

  • Additional outfits/swaddles optional
  • As many lovely gentle poses that time allows
