Hey, Hi, Hello!

It’s me, I’m Brittney.

If you’re here, you’re probably already well aware that I’m a pathological picture taker. But I also have a pretty nice husband and together we’re raising our three wild boys and it’s kind of a fun adventure. Jimmy is 10, Colton is 8, and Turner is 2. We have two dogs—a c’nardly (‘cause you c’nardly tell what he is) and a sheprador, and a cat who hides in a towel drawer 23 hours a day. We homeschool and live a simple, contented life. I never pictured myself strictly as a boymom embracing relentless wild shenanigans and pranks and tree climbing and homemade bows and arrows and multi tools and knives and survival skills and fishing and hunting as my life, but here we are and it’s my favorite. Working to keep our life pretty simple has fostered a genuine love for this thing we share together.

Currently we are living in a small duplex that we have rented for nine years. It’s been a bit of an unexpected long haul but the yard is nice for boys, the neighbors have always been good and kind, and plans are well underway for our simple dream home on 19 beautiful acres. These acres have become our very favorite space on the whole planet from the moment we first stepped foot on them and got all scratched up in their wild blackberry brambles and beauty. Rural, rustic, relatively untamed, so much room for boys and dogs to roam and adventure. Sometimes plans that fall through have a purpose and we are very grateful that the previous homes we had tried to buy and all the plans we had previously made dissolved because the culmination of huge disappointments have led to this dream which feels pretty perfect for us.

I take photos pretty much every single day, and this blog is for the purpose of documenting this adventure of ours, and of course some of my favorite photoshoots sprinkled throughout.

This is the story of us. We don’t have it all together, but I wouldn’t trade this adventure for anything.
