Over the Summer one of my friends posted a give away that this really cool leather company was having. I drooled over the modern messenger bag, but knowing my lack of luck with such things, I only entered and shared the love for the sake of helping a small business get its name out there. Much to my shock and delight, I was later notified that my name had been drawn and I was the lucky winner of this beautiful, rich prize. I was dumbfounded.

Within days my parcel arrived. It was love at first sight. Rugged, but classy. Functional, durable, sleek and modern. The rich smell of leather was reminiscent of the days I spent with horses. I love every aspect of this bag!

While it is not designed as a camera bag, that is what I use it for. I have tried all the bags and back packs out there for my photography adventures, but nothing ever quite nailed all the desirable features of being functional, secure and convenient quite like this baby does.

The thing with most bags is, no matter how comfortable the shoulder strap is, when you're working a gig it's going to slip off; this messenger bag can be worn on the shoulder or cross-body and has an adjustable panel in the strap for comfort. The thing with back packs is you have to take them off in order to utilize them; this messenger bag can be carried from behind, yet swung to the front for easy access. It's comfortable, has multiple adjustment areas and is very secure.

I have been using this for 5 months now and I love it more with each use, not just for how functional it is, but it also adds a special level of class to my look.

Urban Southern is a wonderful company. They have some great leather totes, bags and wallets. My experience with their product has been nothing short of shining quality and I highly recommend them. If you're still searching for just the right gift for somebody, you might just find it here.
