"Best Brothers of All Time!"
--As stated by Colton every day as he throws his arms around his big brother and they tickle and scream and fall to the floor wrestling like little ninjas.
People often ask me what kind of photography I do. I have dabbled in it all, but every time it boils down to kids and newborns. I love the challenges they pose. I kind of even love when they hate having their picture taken because then you get to be creative. You say, "Grandma wants to update her gallery wall, let's go to the beach!" And you kick your sandals off and run across the sand and intersperse candid play with, "I wonder who's bigger?" "Oh, look at the boat out there!" "Colton, I think Jimmy needs a hug." "Jimmy, don't smile." "Colton, are you an apple turd?" "Splash your brother on three! One... Two... THREEEEE!!!" "Sit your caboose down in the sand and let's see if we can turn you into a train!"
I mean, yeah, there was some pen tattoo art applied unbeknownst to me just before we left, and we had our wardrobe malfunctions, and sometimes the horizon ended up cutting through their necks (maybe that only bothers the photographers amongst us). You'll have those technical blunders when you're technically going candid, but there was not a single complaint or despair and that's a win for Mom, and Grandma's gallery wall.
